🏪Top 10 Convenience Stores in Rotorua

Late-night essentials and 24/7 fuel stops.

    Editorial ranking

Top pickNight 'n Day RotoruaKiwi-owned 24-hour convenience store in the CBD.

Rotorua's late-night and 24/7 options are the service stations on the main arterials — Fenton Street, Te Ngae Road and Fairy Springs Road — plus a couple of dedicated convenience stores in the CBD. Supermarkets close well before midnight, so anything after about 10pm means a service station. If you are heading out to the lakes, the small rural stores keep short hours and are not a reliable resupply, so stock up in town.

Convenience Stores in Rotorua — your questions

What is open 24 hours in Rotorua?

The main-road service stations are the reliable 24-hour option, several with a full convenience offering, hot food and coffee. Dedicated late-night convenience stores in the CBD cover most of the evening but not always the whole night. Supermarkets do not trade 24 hours here.

Where can I get late night food in Rotorua?

The service stations on the main arterials do hot food and coffee around the clock, the Eat Streat bars serve food later than the restaurants, and there are takeaway options on Fenton Street. After midnight midweek, the service stations are effectively it.

Are there shops near the Rotorua lakes?

Only small rural stores with short and seasonal hours. Do not plan on resupplying at the lakes — buy fuel, food and ice in town before you head out, particularly if you are going to Tarawera, Ōkataina or Rotomā.
